				| I don't how it came about that into mangy dog from wolf
 I changed.

Perhaps it was the wind that stung my face
or when looking at the sun my jaundiced eye squinted

or it was the reflection of fear not fire
 that danced in my spine
or perhaps it was the collar
no one ever placed on me.

No one ever came for me
leaving me to scurry like a servile dog.

 Lord,
You who cherish even the slithering creatures
and know how to install pride in a worms pale blood

Help me open this throat of mine
 which in silents begs

Assure me I am free, even tho I cry.

				| `Osiyo Riverotter, long time, but had to read what came from your heart. WE were all born free, but some subdue to teachings of fear, others like me learn to face fear and overcome it s lessons...than nobody has to ensure you are free as you know deep in your heart....you are a child of Great Spìrit and Mother Earth. Crying cleans your heart at makes your eyes more bright and once you have been riding on the wings of the wind....you know what FREEDOM realy means. Hugs and may all your days be blessed

				| `I feel that this describes so well what it does to those who are outcast, unloved, and abandoned in this world and what it can make of a human being. I remember times when I was a child that I could have related to this post all to well, although I wouldn't have been able to put it into words like this. It is good to have people that can put into words images, and feel of things some of us carry that we can't articulate ourselves in order to integrate it into our experience of life and put that peice where it can process through our "psyche",, instead of remaining stuck. You may have met something entirely different however, as you are one who runs contrary to the predictable at times. But thats how the words went through me anyway. Thank you Riverotter....
